New wards available?

There doesn't seem to be any plots left atleast on my world (Cerberus). Is there any info about when there will be new plots or wards available? Or how often they usually add new ones?

Thus far, there's only been 2 expansions to housing districts: the addition of wards #7/8 in 2.38 & the subdivisions for every ward in 2.4. Since then, there's been no reliable word when to expect something about the lagging housing problems. Sadly, the devs have been pretty mum on the subject, isntead giving out the same response about Ishgardian housing of "we're getting closer, please look forward to it!".

I know many people are tired of being snubbed by this tight-lipped rhetoric that completely ignores the bigger problems with housing. While some of us are wanting Ishgardian housing, we either know it's going to take a long time or are wanting something in a different area. Case in point: when my crew formed into its own FC, we came to the concensus of wanting a Goblet mansion while I'm eventually selling my cottage in Mist to be ready for Ishgard as an option (sometime either in March/April, it was in a response that such housing wards would take 1-2 years roughly).

While I'm hopeful that this is actually going to happen, do you have any legitimate source to back that statement up with?

As far as I know this is just a rumor which emerged from us reading in between the lines, or was there an official Statement from yoshi or anyone else on the Team?

I remember people started this one up after either the March or April Live-Letter - personally, I'm hoping we hear something to prove or disprove this soon as people on Brynhildr are getting real anxious. Especially when you factor in around 50% of our plots are owned by inactive people/FCs, and things can get nasty sometimes when a valuable mansion pops up.

I can't recall where on the forums, but I swear I saw a GM say it.

I also remember seeing a dev confirming wards. It is in the same comment where they confirm that ishgard housing will likely never happen. Check the last few live letters. Ill dig around as well, but its definitely thrre.

Q63. I really love the scenery in the new areas. Do you have plans to introduce a housing ward in Ishgard?

A63. We’re currently working to solve the inconvenience in the extended wards, so we believe it’ll be after this. This is because we think we first need to create a transfer system for players who wish to move to an Ishgard area.
