This has nothing to do with the topic at hand. I don\\\\'t have a problem holding my own. This is about the WAR getting abilities that they shouldn\\\\'t be. PLD is the only one that should get a heal. Our cross class is CNJ for crying out loud. Self heals make zero sense for WAR since there\\\\'s nothing that would even suggest they could heal at all.

Warriors are berserkers. That would suggest they can self heal or fight through pain. Sounds like you are stuck on your shinning knight motif and ignored others.

PLD is now the MT that mitigates physical damage the best. If that\\'s not optimal for the fight, then you\\'re not optimal for the fight. You still have Hallowed Ground, which is the best mitigation in the game when used properly.

WAR specializes as an OT and you generally always want one for slashing debuff unless you have a NIN to increase party DPS.

You aren\\'t the best tank anymore. It\\'s not 2.0. Raid groups don\\'t have 2 PLDs for both tank slots. Other jobs are relevant. Things cost more than they used too!

Apparently you either never played the War storyline or skimmed through it <.<.

It should be mandatory for tanks to level all tank classes and pay attention to the lore behind them.

I was being super sarcastic.

The post was playing with some maths and resulted in the strongest non-DoT attack in the game beat the strongest melee skill in the game. So I threw the "Nerf Berserk!" line.

I'm a very strong advocate of leaving the tanks as they are. WAR is in a very very VERY good spot right now and needs no nerfs. The other two tanks need some quality of life changes but no major buffs. (DRK should just be revamped imo but that's too late).

as a pld myself i say more power to warriors. if they wanna be the best dps tank then thats cool. i know my role as a tank is to get punched in the face so everyone else doesn\\\\'t get destroyed so thats how i play. for learning i feel that pld is still right where it should be as so far the WARs that ive done A1 with have a much higher mortality rate than mine. i know theres "x skill + y skill +z skill" can keep them alive but most have been more focused on doing dmg than staying alive (in my groups). after the "gotta be 1st to clear" mentality wears off and the general dps population gets more eso gear i feel the urgency for tanks to do raid worthy dps will decline, each tank will have their special feeling again. pld will be support tank, war dps tank and drk will do....i dont know what they excel in but theyll do it lol. not saying 1 is far superior to the others just saying they all have their own playstyle that works differently depending on your specific party.,
