I would agree with you if it was a handout, but some players and groups put a lot of work in their videos for these prizes and not seeing it for almost 5 weeks when they said 2 weeks is ridiculous. They can at least keep the community event forum updated if they are having trouble so people don't feel forgotten. A simple, "we are working on it, hang tight!", is all we want.

First off, we would like to say a hearty "THANK YOU!" to all of the Free Company winners that have been extremely patient with us while waiting for their prizes to be delivered!

We are pleased to announce when prize distribution will begin:
Starting Friday, April 18, at 12:00 a.m. (PDT)/3:00 a.m. (EDT)/7:00 (GMT)/16:00 (JST)
Please note the actual delivery time may differ slightly depending on your character's World or Data Center.

There are a few precautions we'd like to make you aware of.
As the prize will be delivered via Mog Letter, the delivery may fail in the following cases:

• Your character has been deleted
• Your character has transferred to another World

If you have the max number of allowed Mog Letters, or maxed out your number of attachments, you can safely receive your prize by deleting older letters from the system.

We'd like to take this opportunity to explain why it has taken so long to distribute the prizes for this contest. In short, we have never sent prizes to winners on this scale before, and we originally dispatched prizes manually using Mog Mail in previous contests.

Unlike before, the winners of this FC Recruitment Contest were in the tens of thousands! So, in addition to extracting all the character information, we also created a system to take the data and dispatch the prizes automatically. However, we had to prioritize fixing system issues and bugs in Patch 2.2, which delayed our initial schedule.

This meant that although we managed to send the prizes for the Little Ladies' Day Screenshot Contest as planned, we couldn't deliver the prizes for the FC Recruitment contest. Once again, we are very sorry for the delay and frustration that this has caused.

Rest assured we learned a valuable lesson from this and will make sure everyone has a much better experience with our forthcoming events!

It's disheartening we are heading the same way as last year's. I understand there are a lot of winners, of course I will be patient. But at the same time it was also said we'd have a better experience with the distribution this time around.

Can we just please get an ETA on when we can expect the prizes to be sent out?

Well time is relative It also isn't constant. Maybe they are stuck in a singularity and it's only been a few seconds for them. ^.^
