If you want a hammer job I\\'d say look to cid the engineer in ff4. We already have a lot of ff4 influence in the jobs, cid the engineer used a hammer and plate armor, and guess what? When we fought Nero- also an engineer- he aused a huge magitek hammer and of course wore plate armor. It would also be a cool sort of melee compliment to the machinist.
Nero was a modified Warrior in that flight and a two handed hammer is used pretty much identically to how two handed Axes are.
