I would hope they go puppet master route and have the puppet tank. It would be a ranged tank. I am tired of the traditional tanks. Think outside the box.
I would litterally do a flip if we got cannoneer. Heavy armor dude with a big two handed cannon and a big bayonet? yes plz.
problem with that is the fact that that big cannon would make it rather hard to maneuver around. and so it would get rid of the point of being a long range tank if you cant you know... stay at long rang...
this is a game where people use harp bows and 4ft tall people fight dragons
i can somewhat see it happening if they go the way of chung from elsword... and if they do that they could make it a true stance dancer because you could have the melee mode (where you whack them in the face with a cannon bigger than you are...) or range mode(where you shoot them in the face with a giant magical bullet of doom!)
Meh!
Just give me Utsusemi, access to Provoke and Flash, and turn my abilities into enmity increase stuff.

Yoshi p also said way back that he could see drk being a dps splitting off from gld the way smn and sch split from acn, so I\\'m still crossing my fingers. The job has always been pretty tankey with heavy armor and things like blade grasp. In bravely default it was all about counterattacks that mitigated incoming damage while dishing out lots of pain.
As far as Viking, Viking, berserker and the og fighter were the basis for the warrior job, people.
If you want a hammer job I\\'d say look to cid the engineer in ff4. We already have a lot of ff4 influence in the jobs, cid the engineer used a hammer and plate armor, and guess what? When we fought Nero- also an engineer- he aused a huge magitek hammer and of course wore plate armor. It would also be a cool sort of melee compliment to the machinist.
Nero was a modified Warrior in that flight and a two handed hammer is used pretty much identically to how two handed Axes are.Y
