Can't save UI after upgrade to Windows 10

Hi, I upgraded to Windows 10 on 7/30 and since then I have not been able to save my UI upon exit. My gear sets are locked at what they were before the upgrade and I have to apply gear changes at every log in. I also have to modify my toolbar because I decided to change its layout after upgrading. Finally, my inventory must be sorted every time I log in because the sorting does not save.

It sounds like your permissions aren't right for the folder following the upgrade. Is it by chance stored on a drive other than the primary one?

You could try using the take ownership context menu to take ownership of your 'My Documents' folder and all of the folders inside, this should allow your game configuration files to save correctly again.

Thanks for the advice. I managed to get the files writable again by changing some permissions but it seems the root cause is that Windows 10 put my account in a homegroup users group, which doesn't have modify or write access to most of the system. I'll figure it out, but I'll have to find a more secure way of fixing the permissions on my system.
