    Please Review NIN TP/DPS

My main has been NIN for a while now. For the most part I have enjoyed the NIN changes from 3.0. However, it has come to my attention recently that we are actually lacking now vs. other classes in DPS. Which wasn't even close to the case in 2.5. I understand the caution with NIN and changes. When it was first released the job was far too powerful without any repercussions. In other words, we could DPS all day without ever worrying about TP. This is actually the purpose of my post.

With the changes to secondary stats in 3.0 it has become beneficial to use a lot of skillspeed for most melee DPS. However, this is not the case for NIN. With only one cooldown that gives us TP we have to heavily rely on it. I can say with experience that any amount of skillspeed over 580 we start to ride 0-30 TP before Invigorate is up a second time. This type of situation is causing unwanted stress not only on us but our support class(es) in our group.

As a raider currently progressing in Alexander Savage 3 I can say the issue with TP is very apparent in floor 2. In fact it was so bad that I became the default rider not only for my TP issues but overall poor DPS compared to other classes.

There are a couple ways I can think that would really make a difference for us. We could recover TP from Mug instead of HP. This would be great because no one considers the HP recovery as something pivotal to our survival. Also, we could go back to the way TP was when the class was introduced. With so many adjustments of late there is low risk of this being an issue. Another way that comes to mind is to have Armor Crush as the third combo off of Shadow Fang instead of Gust Slash. This change would not only bring us closer to the other melee in DPS but also, over time, lower TP consumption. Also, this would allow me to use Aeloian Edge more. Since our group rolls with PLD/DRK I can only use AE when Duality is up for the most part.

This is why u bring a bard along for paeon though. Trick attack balances out that paeon.

Lets compare nin and monk a sec

Nin offer goad, and you got trick attack damage debuff.

mnk has far superior tp lasting ability but offers no offensive support and has about the same dps as nin. Also, monks dragonkick has been devalued by drk now too.

If you were looking to trade something for more tp it should be trick attack. maybe have a tp mudra that shares a cooldown with trick attack, now we're talking balance. Mug hp regen is not much of a sacrifice to be fair now.

Nin would be broken as hell if it didn't have that disadvantage. then theres the matter of drgs having melee dps, bard support, battle litany and good tp lasting, but we all know dragoon is flavour of the month anyways.
