    [dev1072][dev1073] Stats and Weapon-skills

    Will the new attribute system have any affect on our weapon-skills?

    Such as STR / DEX modifiers. Will Puncture damage be calculated not only with attack but 20% STR and 20% DEX?

    Will there be formulas in place as to 2 STR = 1 attack?

    What will we be expecting?

    It would be wondrous if the devs would actually be able to show us upon highlighting the weapon-skill of choice which stats affect it greatly or possibly create a lodestone letter showing us how the accuracy, attack, magic acc ext. is calculated with our stats.

    Possibly we as a community should stress this question upon the interview on the 4th. Those who share the same curiosity as I.

    This is true but I still would like to know if the stats will affect our magic and skills. Or will it be too overpowered if it were due to the fact we are able to spam our abilities like we are samurai from FF11

    Well, figuring that we wont be able to allot points ourselves for a while.. Its not much to worry about quite yet. The only thing that you can do to compliment certain stats is equip the armors and go experiment. ;P

    Another thing to keep in mind is stats are going to be different depending on what Materia you're using. That plus the fact that SE loooves their hidden effects means they will probably be tight-lipped about how damage is calculated.
