Or at the very least, merge all of the separate threads with the largest thread, and turn it into a sticky, with the additional rule that codes posted anywhere else in new player help will incur a warning.
Might as well get rid of all the FC recruitment threads spamming the forums as well.
With all due respect, there is a significant difference between a thread dedicated to an FC which is recruiting people (this can lead to active help and guidance in-game), and people making 23 separate threads giving out friend recruitment codes just so they can get a mount or two.
I use the "New Posts" function often, more than half the page is filled with the same exact thread recruiting for the same exact FC by the same exact poster. I see someone with 23 posts ALL of which are him spamming his FC recruitment. It's spam. They even post this crap in every server part like someone is actually gonna pay to transfer servers just to join their FC lol.
But yes, I agree. Spammers should be banned. That crap is annoying to wade through.
I see your point, and what you describe is excessive. There should be hard rules around recruiting to an FC (or posting recruitment codes) to prevent that kind of spamming. Of course, how well that would work would depend entirely on the mods, and if they have the time or manpower to effectively enforce it.I use the "New Posts" function often, more than half the page is filled with the same exact thread recruiting for the same exact FC by the same exact poster. It's pretty bad on the Steam side too. Hopefully it'll die down over time.
This isn't against forums rules since all the post is made by different people, yes it's about the same topic but it's a topic that involves there friend code.
Where in the rules does it say that it's ok to oversaturate the new player help forum with recruitment codes to the point that legit questions and help requests are being kicked to the second page most of the time?
Unless the rules specifically say so, then no, no rules are being broken.
Well they should have foresaw this coming when they made a mount and emotes recruitment only. Though I kinda found a different way to get my code out there, but also cus I feel stupid posting the codes so much, I am sure as it stands we have enough codes active that every new person joining at the moment could use 3 or 4 each if it was possible at the rate its going. xD
