Considering he's logging in with his specific credentials, probably not.





As long as you aren't sharing one account, I don't see how it would be against the ToU.
No thats allowed.
If you have a license on any given platform you can play it on that platform regardless of who owns it.
If I have a PS4 account I can play on someone else's PS4.
I have a PC account, I can play on anyone else's computer.
Etc.




The only problem you might encounter is if you guys do not have security tokens.
In the event you do not, it might notice the different IP and ask you via email to confirm that logging in from the new location is fine (every single time)
If you have security tokens then this will not happen in my limited experience.
This is fine, I have several PCs I log in from, never had any issues, except for the odd change of password request.


Pretty sure they have FFXIV clients installed at internet cafes in Japan, and people just log in with their account to play. Unless I'm mistaken, I believe the pc client is free to download, like most mmos.
