You say its obvious, but "what shouldn't be said" usually turns out to be the first thing said.

Actual wipe responses are quite different from forum hypotheticals.

The true reason is that they give you skills without teaching you how to best incorporate them, and then make a DPS check like Limitless Blue expecting most people to clear it. Parsers CAN help but it doesn't solve the problem, some people aren't going to be helped by them, since they don't have the time to trial and error for optimal dps. Some may not even know how on their own.

The best solution IMO is to make the Job Quests like the class quests before them; actually tutorials that walled any progress until the player had a general understanding of how to use newly aquired skills. Make the DPS check there first.

It varies from person to person of course, but I'd just like to be assured by SE that pointing it out in a nice manner won't get me banned. Either that, or have something like the proving grounds, or less DPS checks and other mechanic checks. At least then it's obvious who's doing poorly.

Most people forgot that the fight itself is called extreme for a reason that it is supposedly lock most of average tier players and it is very much to be expected up until the duty finder and echo are introduced.. Calling average players being bad in an extreme fight is kinda weird way to put it..

It's always interesting (not to mention irritating) that this type of thread attracts tryhards who passively blow their own horn by saying everyone (but them) are simply bad players.

I've learned to use a parser in my Bis EX groups. Most of the time, tho, I won't say much, just kinda toss a hint out there to the underperformer(s) that they need to work on their rotations more. Then again, I usually lead or join "Learning" or "Learn/Clear" groups.

Chances are, tho, that if I ever decide to lead (or perhaps even join) a proper "Clear" group, I'll be stricter about watching DPS - and pointing out/replacing the bad(s) if we're not making the checks.

Dancer is a physical hybrid melee/range class, not a true ranged class. I love it.

But parsers will SHOW you that you're doing poorly. Seeing yourself not doing as much damage as you should be doing and going out and doing some research on your rotation could be a result of you seeing your own DPS. Poor player will play poorly regardless of parsers or not, that will never change, but an in-game parser will exhibit the faults of people who want to improve and punish people who want to mash random buttons and put no effort into a fight. There are so many resources that help with learning your rotation. The game can't hold your hand through everything.

Being expected to perform your correct rotation makes you an "extreme" player? Doing what you're supposed to be doing is far from min maxing.

My own two cents: (The text that you have entered is too long (4176 characters). Please shorten it to 1000 characters long.)

Oh... Leveling is your tutorial. You get abilities slow enough that you learn how to use them. Maybe I think this way because I main DRG, but I've learned plenty by just leveling up.

Parsers should be allowed. I've asked for my numbers, I was told I do over 1k, I wanted more. Savage Alex comes out and needs 1.2k per DPS, I wanna hit that, and surpass.

I've been given advice on how to play DRG, and taken it. I feel it made me a better player. One day I did an A1 with an FCmate because they needed to fill a slot. Bots from the other Oppressor were getting away. I suggest to the DRG on that bot to use Geirskogul to get both bots. "Don't tell me how to play. I hate when other DRGs tell me how to play." Days later same FCmate asks again for other Alex tier. I say I'd come, but the same DRG is there and is still salty. Days later. People are really that soft?
