Short answer Nope.

Long answer. Every F2P game I've played was lower quality, in every way.
Also F2P games are out there 100's of them. When I did try F2P games. After 2-3 weeks with no money invested nothing making me stay I jumped to the next F2P...

When I pay a sub. I feel well I spent all this money already, and my character is so strong because I felt like I should play because I'm paying for it. I keep going.
Also... as this is basically another F2P thread. FFXIV has 5 Millions subs As per Y-P. Weather they are Active or not it's still 5 million. This game isn't going F2P. If anything it should be held up as a reason why developers shouldn't rush a game. And plan quality updates on a regular scheduled...

I have Paid for FFXI 8 year, Wow 2 years, FFXIV form 1.xx till now. As long as you needed to pay.
tried in that time 6 or 7 unremembered F2P games. Nothing for more then 1 month.

Now if I committed $10-15 a month to play my F2P game. Maybe it would be more enjoyable. However it being F2P... I don't spend money because I want something FREE.. Which every F2P isn't really. It's FREE like internet access is UNLIMITED. sure you have access to the internet but use to much get extra bill or Slower Internet( fair usage clause in unlimited)

I for one would drop this game like a time bomb if it went f2p/hybrid, here's why, I have played/seen games go from sub to f2p/hybrid, and the game quality suffered drasticly because of the change, I'd play this game for 20 years if it never changed the billing model it has now, I'm content with how it is now (with the subscription), I'm posting a poll and vote how you feel about "Would you keep playing if ff14 goes F2P/Hybrid?" Other than that this game would become p2w, they wouldn't care about gold sellers anymore, lack of updates and on top of everything I expect a serious reward if it did go f2p, considering I've wasted atleast 5 years on that game.

Hm, my bad. Saw the join date of Jun 2013 and assumed they started playing around that time. Although I don't believe you should include that time, they're very different games.
