SE hates Goldsmiths?

Im not missing the point, you simply didnt understand what i said. I never said i only do leves.. actually there are times when i didnt touch them for weeks. And that peoply only want to buy Stat rings i just not true, so maybe lower the Price for the Rings you want to sell? So noone want the Ingredients for the NM' Weapons? Unless LS' have crafters which can make those themself, they have to buy it. Same with Arrowheads for CRP Rankups.. Those Stuff is selling fast in Wards.

Whats the point here? With the new Patches, the Stat Acessoires will become more usefull. So you can be sure about the fact that you will sell more of them.

That comment made me laugh.. Beside the fact that you didnt even notice the other Posts, which are saying basically the same as i do, you totally failed to understand anything. The slot costs on accessories will be lifted soon, so you'll have more variety than other crafters. What do you think tanners sell these days? It's always the same items and they just hope they'll HQ to make a bigger profit, welcome to crafting. You could argue that with the materia system, other crafters will have a steady income, but who knows what's gonna happen to the economy.

Accessories aside, Goldsmiths make most of the parts needed to craft the best weapons in the game at the moment. Of course that may change but you're complaining about right now anyway.

And finally, I'll say it as well: Goldsmith isn't expensive to level. No craft is, it just takes patience and a list of recipes to know what to make and when.

And as far as SE hating Goldsmithing, I'll just assume that's a figure of speech or it's just plain sad.

From what I read it seems you may be able to turn accessories into materia, even if you cannot attach materia to them. This would be wonderful for soldsmiths if true. Here I'll quote the patch notes:

The following types of items do not possess spiritbond:

Smallclothes / Pack and Pouch Items (Arrows, Bait, and Lures)

The following types of items cannot have materia affixed to them:

Accessories / Smallclothes / Pack and Pouch Items (Arrows, Bait, and Lures)

So if accessories can be turned into materia, then they will be gone through a lot more, which is good

Not any more. Patch 1.19 has barely any Goldsmith weapon recipe, bar the THM's. Banneret Lance, Thunderstorm Axe etc. all gone. The dated recipe might not be Meldable with Materia from the pictures http://static.finalfantasyxiv.com/to...ee/1214_29.png so those dated +3 will be not as much coveted as before, and not to mention level nerfed on old equipment (Crab Hora from 46 -> 41).

But we create items that people only need in extremely limited amounts. No one wants MOST of what we can make. They want rings. That's all.

Please tell me you're trolling. Of all the crafts that could complain about getting the short end, Goldsmithing is not one of them, and if you think it is, then crafting in general is not for you.

I have all 8 at 50, nothing compares to how bad cul is. On my server the food that people use sells at a loss on the wards. thats right you make one and sell it you lose money.

yeah, i have to agree cul is for sure the lowest on the totem pole.

i can see where the op if coming from, but there will never be enough support for him on these forums. someone makes an honest observation and, of course, gets flamed. why should that be a suprise?
