Launcher problem in Windows 10

So, like many other people I upgraded to Windows 10. Everything runs smoothly at first. Not a problem to be seen, until I exit FFXIV the first time since the installation.
Every attempt to boot the game up greets me with a black screened launcher that's instantly "Not Responding". I've wandered the web looking for answers and tried a bunch of solutions posted in different forums with no such luck. Things like adding exceptions / turning off anti-virus software, port forwarding, Windows firewall exceptions / off, driver updates, resetting IE settings, running as admin. There's probably some others too.

One strange thing I've noticed is that the launcher did work one time after a complete reinstall, but I'm not reinstalling every time I want to get the launcher to work.

Any thoughts on how to get this patcher working again?

Hey had the same exact problem as you. Followed instructions on the other thread for this. Reposted on reddit. What worked for me was:

Adding frontier.ffxiv.com to the exceptions list in my antivirus (avast) solved the problem. Launcher boots up everytime now. =)
