    Would it be entirely overpowered if... (BLM related)

    Thundercloud and Fire III procs gave us a small boost to Enochian? Like 3 to 5 seconds if you use them from a proc? Even with the buff to Thunder spells and Enochian procs are still an interruption sometimes to a BLM's optimal rotation - I'm wondering if simply allowing the procs to extend the rotation by adding a little Enochian buff would help? In the case of Thunder, I understand that if you get many back to back you could theoretically extend Enochian by a lot, but perhaps the buff length can't go over what was set by Bliz4 or the Enochian skill, or something? Just a thought.

    The most elegant solution I've seen for just how annoying enochian can be is to give fire iv a synergy buff with fire1 which allows it to be instant cast after casting fire iv. Since fire 1 has a cast time equal to the gcd already this doesn't do much beyond giving us an easier time keeping astral fire on, and a window to pop buffs.

    My own suggestion was to allow fire iv to proc firestarter to the same effect. My suggestion would be a dps gain in certain situations, but nothing too unreasonable. We would still need to maintain enochian but we'd have the utility of instant fire3s for necessary movement. Plus we would have much the feel of how blm used to be.

    As is, with the right understanding, thundercloud+t3 can be incredibly helpful and is an overall dps gain, but to effectively play blm in endgame requires a lot of understanding for how everything functions and a lot of experience with each encounter.

    I wouldn't mind getting that for the Thundercloud proc. It would give the Thundercloud procs a reason to use because as of right now it just wastes GCD time. I usually just let mine fall off. The Firestarter would be nice but I doubt they'd give us that considering that Firestarter is a 40% chance vs. Thundercloud which is 5% (I think?)

    Thundercloud is now a 10% chance. But that is a 10% chance every three seconds for what, 18-24 seconds? That's six opportunities on a thunder 1 for the effect to happen. Unless things are going really wrong you won't ever cast fire 1 more than once a rotation so that 40% ends up being pretty rare.

    The whole reason Fire4 works as it does is to remove the RNG factor, or at least most of it, that gated hitting optimal numbers in Black Mage 2.0. As it stands right now, the only spell you may have trouble fitting into a rotation is Thunder/Thundercloud.

    Outside influences like floor-death-zones have small work arounds, but nothing is new to black mages there.

    Personally? I'd trade the AoE sleep trait for a 30s Swiftcast trait, or even 45s, seeing as Square has been so nice to basically make sleep obsolete outside solo-save-your-ass-play.

    I'd be content with just getting some enochian time back from thundercloud alone. Would give us a reason to fit it into the rotation, along with eliminate some inconvenient timing while dealing with mechanics. That way we don't totally disrupt our rotation if we dodge something. Use thundercloud on a dodge to recover that lost time.
