Is it strange that I can already picture where the player seat may be and what Omega may look like if it was given the ability to be a Flying Mount?

I think people are confusing this Omega with an old robot boss Omega from an earlier Final Fantasy game.

I am willing to bet that the "Omega" that is buried in Carteneau is actually Omega Weapon. Which, to be clear, is not related to the robotic boss "Omega" at all. Seeing as Ultima Weapon was also an Allag weapon that was unearthed from Ala Mhigo, it's quite possible that Omega Weapon was a companion project to the Ultima Weapon. I'm guessing that the Omega Weapon was used, alongside the Ultima Weapon, to subdue The Warring Triad.

I suspect FF14 Omega will look more like the 8 and 10 iterations, given their similarity to Ultima Weapon.

I don't doubt for a second that it'll be activated at some point down the road, the question is who'll do it.

if that is the Omega they are going for (the weapon version) i will be upset, and hope STRONGLY they put in the proper Omega.

Omega is a recouping final fantasy boss its 3 bosses in ffxi a HIGHLY requested DLC boss in FF13-2 a super hidden boss in ff12 and added in to ff's 1 to 4 due to his popularity, to go to FF8's clone of ultima would be a bad choice D: as for ffX's Weapon class .. maybe it has a chance but it isn't Omega to a lot of people, Omega is that silver bug robot
