My computer won't let me upgrade to Windows 10. It's failed every single time. So I've given up until I've saved up enough money for a new motherboard, processor and operating system (since I won't be able to use the one that came with my PC).

I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
And Facebook can scan your chat lines.Facebook isn't reading my emails and doesn't have a licensing agreement that says they can use anything in them for any purpose they want.
I'm a political activist with conservative leaning views. Suppose that someday, the establishment decides that they want to start arresting anyone protesting say, gun control? Microsoft essentially has the liberty to start scanning my fking email for that shit and sending data to the government.
How in the bloody hell can you defend that kind of bullshit?
And Google can scan your emails (and does that A LOT when you use gmail to offer you personalized advertisement), your SMS if you use Android, even listen to your calls.
Shall I continue?
NOTHING that is on the Internet is safe or private. Nothing at all.

1. Yep, either on day one or day two. Only issue I had was the initial problem with Nvidia drivers which was fixed pretty simply.
2. Yep. No issues. Started up without a hitch.
3. Yep. Was running DX11 under Win7 as well.
4. Haven't noticed anything major either in performance or graphical quality between either version of Windows.
5. Windows runs somewhat faster now than under 7. Most apps run about as well as they did under 7.
6. Nope. Hasn't seemed necessary at this point.
NSA is collecting everything anyways, but that doesn't mean I'm going to go out of my way and greenlight it.And Facebook can scan your chat lines.

What they do behind my back is an entirely different story.
I... I'm totally lost for words... Can't tell if your attitude is just ironic, apologetic, or completely hypocritical...
I'll spell it out for you:
I. Will. Not. Willingly. Accept. A. EULA. Agreement. That. Says. "Yes. You. Can. Collect. And. Distribute. My. Personal. Information. However. You. See. Fit. To. Whomever. You. Want."
Because that's what it says. "You can take any information stored on this computer, regardless of if I send it out on the net, for use at our discretion."
How do you think it's targeted advertising stuff is supposed to work? Among other things.
And there's ways to block Google off from collecting information from Android phones. And if the first thing you didn't do with a new one was "disable GPS and geotagging" I feel sorry.
