    Cutter's Cry

So I did this dungeon for the first time and it was not good. The tank was taking massive dmg in every mob and with first boss. I don't think he was using any potions or if so they did no good. I always inform my party when I am new to get tips and strategy but there was some miscommunication on that first boss and we had to do it 3 times. The strategy was for the WHM to kite all adds so other 3 could focus on princess. Regen was not keeping up with dmg on tank but with 10 ants & marshal following me I had little opportunity to add in any cures, even with presence of mind. On the 3rd try one of dps assisted by taking out any ants that were doing me dmg.

On sandworm, 3 of us got pretty much knocked out early on but that was all my fault according to the tank. At this point I left....it took me a while to figure out how to do that as I had not done so before.

I am going to read up and watch some videos before attempting again but would appreciate thoughts from other healers.

I get that I am the "healer" but see comments and suggestions for everybody to have potions or antidotes when a situation calls for it. I do try to stay on top of it but Esuna is not instant and regen is slower healing so losing 1000hp in one sec is not something it can keep up with. Even with presence of mind cure spells take 2 seconds. I was apologizing profusely with the first boss but I was questioning the strategy of laying everything on the healer, especially since I was still getting familiar with this dungeon and even told them I was a first timer.

For the myrmidon princess, usually an easy way to kite the adds is to Stone 1 the marshal to slow him down with heavy, then divine seal regen the tank and yourself. The other smaller ants will pop soon, at that point just sprint the outer perimeter of the room and the princess should go down before things get out of hand.

Now the sandworm, he does spit a sand tornado at 1 person every so often. It inflicts a poison that should get cleansed with esuna but a regen would also suffice (optimally I would do esuna+regen). Any additional dmg your party took is really on them and not your fault. When the worm burrows, people can usually dodge his attack by seeing where he was going. The only unavoidable dmg is when he whirlpools the sand in the center and pulls everyone in....at which point you want to run out of the center before he surfaces

As for the final boss there...there's a bit of a learning curve for first timers and he's pretty harsh for healers. Hopefully you get a more attentive team for this boss because from your posts, there's no way they would have cleared it without an overgeared and experienced healer.

Having the healer kite the adds is the standard strategy for the first boss, it's not so bad once you get the hang of it. Be ready to start kiting when the boss gets to around 50%, then use Divine Seal and Regen on the tank. They should save CD's for this part and rotate them to take less damage so you don't need to heal them. Pop sprint, and follow the outside wall of the arena, and the boss should go down within 20-30 seconds. Reapply Regen if needed, but no other heals should be used.

With the worm boss, be sure to Esuna the DoT that the boss throws out, it's quite potent and will overwhelm you if you let it keep ticking. Other than that, players need to focus on dodging the boss's patterns and avoid getting cleaved, and the battle should go pretty smoothly.

The healer kiting strategy is not the intended way to do it , and if healer is not well geared or new, or the tank is not well geared they should have done it the intended way, would have saved wipes.
Only thing I would suggest is swiftcast a cure, and divine seal(lvl 40 whm ability) regen, but depending on tank it may not be enough.
I find having the tank pick up the adds can be much tougher on the healer. If the tank was struggling to stay alive against only the boss, they'll have an even harder time holding the boss and several adds, not to mention the Marshal will heal the boss while it's alive, making the battle take longer and straining the healer more. That's my experience at least.

I had checked my gear and few things needed a little repair but most of my gear is around or just above Level 40 as I had just picked up some nice new body armor in my first time through Dzemael Darkhold a day or two ago.

I forgot about Divine Seal since that is one of my newer spells but will definitely try that next time. It is also instant to cast so I should be able to reapply even with a swam or bugs trying to eat me. One of my other challenges is setting up all of my hotbars appropriately for every day use, Fate's with level syncing, low level dungeons, high level dungeons, etc. And every time I change them I need to spend time grinding to make sure I am adjusted to the new placement before I hit a dungeon.

I did get the kiting down the 3rd time through and kept the Marshal far enough away so he could not heal. Nobody explained he would heal the princiess if he was close enough but then I googled Cutter's Cry and found out about that after the fact.

Cutter's Cry is fun as a healer because it is more than just being a healing bot when you are lower level.

First boss: The healer kiting is usual practice and don't expect to easily be able to throw heals. The strategy here is for the tank and DPS to burn the boss quickly. I usually toss instant heals whenever I can and use Sprint whenever its up.

Second boss: Anytime you see the sandworm go underground, quickly run to the edge of the room. I try to stay near the other players whether possible whenever I run to the edge so they are not out of range from my heals.

Third boss: The boss will occasionally change eye colors that denotes an impending AOE attack. This fight is easy IF everybody pays attention... unfortunately, you will get a player or two that doesn't. Violet = get on top of the boss to avoid a room wide AOE; blue = run far away to avoid a close range AOE. Also, you will occasionally get targeted by a blue orb in which you need to run away until it explodes.

It sounds like your tank was taking unreasonable damage because I don't consider that a hard-hitting dungeon. Potions won't help them much but gear and getting out of AoEs will. CC does have some confusing mechanics for newbies but that's about it. During the princess she hits so softly that Regen should keep up the tank, and you don't need tricks to kite the adds, just run big circles and dont stop, if you stop you die.

Second boss has it's hectic moments but you get use to it. Chimera at the end can cause problems. Some words will appear on screen "Violet Eyes" -- stack on boss. "Blue Eyes" -- run away, and it helps if you can be aware of what the tank and DPS are doing so you can precast heals on the ones that missed the mechanic. If there's an Orb coming at you, just kite it away.

The adds aren't anything special, just be careful around the bombs. It's not unusual for my tanks to pull several groups in there, it's not too bad to heal through but it's up to you and the tank what's manageable.

this one got me a bunch first time as well. If you kite from where first mob spawns to second one in the way back it becomes much easier to handle. I was shown where to kite though from the tank, for some reason I wasn't kiting as far back as I could and that was causing problems. thought they meant kite around inside there.

There is literally a path on the outside of the room to kite the mobs. If you keep cutting inside to the arena and out to the path the mobs will follow and get stuck slowing them down a bit. After you get used to it you'll never get hit by anything. The Tank should be able to handle just taking boss damage and it should be burned down while you are kiting mobs. The adds don't even appear until the boss is around 50% anyway so if the Tank can't survive 50% of the boss with just a regen on them they have issues.
