Which gear is better?

Right now I'm rank 16 so I can't equip the high rank Ilevel180 pvp gear so I was wondering, is it better to use the Ilevel110 pvp gear or use the Ilevel180 PvE gear?

Pve gear has pretty much h been the best to use, there are only a few pvp pieces that are useful.

The i110 is useless due to the i150 cap.

For dps all you are really looking for is secondary stats, det + crit. Acc is a wasted stat due to the low acc requirement in pvp, bearing in mind you still need a little

There's only a couple of decent i180 pvp pieces I.e for mnk pvp head + stre ring

The bis depending on job will consist of a mix of law i180 pvp gear alex drops crafted and esto gear.

Am I incorrect in thinking that wearing i180 PvP gear essentially removes the i150 sync for you? Since you are synced to i150, and the 30 morale raises the i180 pieces up 30 ilevels, is this the best option? The tooltips are confusing in that I still don't know how this works or if PvP materia works in PvP zones or not.

No-- ilvl always syncs to 150. In Frontlines, materia never works at any ilvl. In most Den modes, materia never works at any ilvl.

...I'm not an expert and it's possible I'm wrong, but I thought that morale bonus was capped by the ilvl sync. So if you had an i140 piece of armor with 20 morale, it would only be equivalent to i150 in Seal Rock.

If I'm misunderstanding it, someone please do correct me.

The Morale bonus first brings the gear's item level up, THEN that gear is brought down to the cap.

So, no. Morale does not increase the item level above the current 150 - or any - item level cap.

Right... when we have higher ilvl PVE gear as well anyway. And it'll likely come with more morale gear that's already past the level cap to begin with.
