I'd say for any dungeon sub-30 it's pretty much optional. Bray, however, is the first dungeon where the difficulty ramps up a bit and the 10% damage reduction isn't something I'd run without if there were new people in the party, especially if either of them was the tank or the healer.

Except that it's not 10%. It's 5. And at that level, the fairy still makes up for it.
