Geez i have not played this game in a year i come back for heavensward.
And the class that i'm hoping gets a cool upgrade is the summoner for the ramuh egi i wanted to be a lightning mage of sorts since i was let down by how the blackmage operates the thunder spell and i see we are still stuck with the same lame 3 egi.
hmm the dev team don't seem to want to add new egis do they

Summoner got a lot of neat things with their new skills. Even if people wanted a new Egi - the new abilities, huge quality of life improvements and unrivaled aoe makes up for that.

Understandable you just came back to the game but at least read up on the class you presumely want to play. SE stated there was pretty much no need for new pets since they wouldn't have a roll to fill but what they will give us is per glamours. So you have a chance to actually glamour over one of your pets to look like Ramuh and it come with animations and all.

Why are you aiming that question at the player, as if they personally are responsible for it? SE indeed said it's coming, but consider the fact that there are much larger scale things they're working on for the entire game as a whole, not just one class and one aspect of that class.

It's fine if you feel it's lame, even if good reason was given for it, but when weighed against all the other major improvements the job got, not adding a new summon arbitrarily or trying to force-fit something new into a role/utility truly does seem minor.
