    BRD+MCH LB indicator?

So, I've never been able to see the line indicator for my LB and always thought this was the norm. My friends all tell me they can see the blue line when I cast my limit break. Did I uncheck something that made it so that I can't see my own LB indicator, or is this how it's supposed to be. If so, that makes very little sense...

The line is basically the direction you are facing, if that helps, but yeah it's blue. I don't know what settings to check.

The problem is, if you're the user you don't know how wide or how far it goes. That becomes a problem when you're trying to hit two things that are far apart from each other. A1NM comes to mind in this case.

What they're seeing is the aoe marker, which is orange for enemy actions and blue for ally actions.
Generally, "area of effect" markers are not shown to the person using the action. The caster limit break displays a marker on the ground, because the action actually targets the ground and the caster needs to see it to aim it. Because the ranged limit break is centered on your target, the area is not shown - you aim it by selecting a target before using it.

I wish they had an option to toggle it on for the user....really makes no sense to me :x I mean yeah, I understand it's going to hit whatever I'm aimed at, but sometimes I miss a couple on the side due to not me "guessing" the width of the LB accurately.

They need to make it similar to the caster LB. You press the button once, it shows you the line and what all will be in the range. You press confirm to actually use the LB. That's the only change it needs, and it'd be a good QoL one at that.

If mobs arent within melee range of target itll likely miss them. Not much to it honestly. Dont really see a reason to see its area since we cant really aim. Thats like asking for an AoE marker for RoD or Quick Knock... doesnt really make sense since its fully dependent on your targets position. Maybe a "hold" kind of thing where holding down the LB shortcut shows the AoE marker so mobs can be placed better before releasing and have it go off.

I have been wondering if it can miss. I used it one time and the boss moved to the other side before it fired. Teamate said it missed, but I swear I saw the big number hit.

If they're moving as you cast it, it'll miss. The range won't adjust wit the primary target. I'd just wish the ranged LB would have a wider range (esp 2). It's not even all that useful to clear trash in a dungeon run because you'll never catch all the mobs with how they spread.

All you really need to know is that anything directly in front of you (given that they're on the same elevation as well) will get hit. That being said though, it's width is an absolute joke. It's no wider than a roegadyn even at lb2. Everyone in your party can see the blueline indicator, but honestly its so brief that it might as well not be there because you won't ever get anything into position.

And on a side note, it's pretty disappointing that ranged LB does less than a caster from what I've seen, considering that it's effective range is less than that in most given circumstances.

I, too, want to see the indicator before it fires off. Aiming on the go or under tense circumstances isn't really possible and if I'm the one using the LB instead of a melee DPS it's probably clutch anyhow. The last thing I want to do is come up short, or miss altogether.
