While that would be really cool, you also have to remember that people play this game on very low-end systems. It'd have to be able to load each and every possible option many times over due to having a variance of players coming in and out of view.

I would be all for more options in the character creator, but perhaps not at the sacrifice of being able to play smoothly.

Love these types of comments . Please don't give false information and give square more of a reason not to upgrade it. It will not cause any lag whatsoever, if the textures were 1-2k resolution yeah maybe we'd lose a little bit of FPS but these textures are only 512-512 or less. Nobody here is running a Pentium 4 with windows 98..which is the only system something like this would have an effect on.
