I had oh so missed the days when +5 players would want to farm fleece in Coerthas and try to 'race' against that lvl 50 BLM that would camp the area for hours, and now thanks to SE I can enjoy the frustration of it all over again! /s

Every crafter must be aware of how SE decided to make things 'harder' by making even basic craft require x2 or even x3 the amount of material than were needed in 2.x. And added to the extremely low drop rate, they also decided to make sure that most of those mobs are also very few across the areas.

I just tried to farm some yak milk to level my culi, and let's just say I didn't stay long. We were 5 people racing each others to have the first hit on 6 poor mobs that dropped hardly anything. Yeah great idea, I'm sure that make players appreciate each others company and not just want to give up anything.

I'm aware that those can be obtained by retainer ventures, but considering the huge quantity I need (5 milk needed to make 2 damn butter pieces really?) I'm going to need those 8 retainers or endless venture coins and waiting to get those without having to spend 300k on some simple low level material that really shouldn't be that hard to get. (which I had to do in the end since I can't buy that many retainer, and as someone who prefer to get material myself it's a real heartbreaker.)


tldr crafting and gathering has become extremely tiring and pointless to me. Seeing that farming/gathering for a whole hour barely makes a decent amount of craft anymore is just depressing to me and really feel like a waste of time (while I'm playing an MMO yes I know) and feel like se is redoing some of its early mistake just so people will play longer, and that's a pretty lame feeling.

So yeah thanks SE, the game lost of lot of it's appeal to me now :/
