Really hope the songs actually sound like they fit the game this time.

Anyone who complained that the music thus far has been too "rock-inspired" is in for a treat.

Speaking of Uematsu, I saw no mention of his name. Granted, I don't speak Japanese, so I couldn't see if they mentioned the composer at all, but his name wasn't there.

NU has his owns studio and doesn't work for Square Enix. It's likely that for reasons already voiced on these forums and for price efficiency they're having different people compose the new tracks.

While I liked much of NU's work in XIV, I do like this move as the new music still seems to fit the world and it adds more variety to the game.

Right, I'm aware of that. I was just wondering if they had hired him again since the first expansion isn't out yet. I wasn't sure if they wanted to keep the same "style" of music for this first round of content.

I welcome this new composer though, gives the game a very much-needed refresh in terms of music.

Nice. Is that a new fanfare I hear at the end? I wonder what that will be used for.

The rental chocobo get the western music
