I find it very funny that so many people are in a rush to down Alex Savage as fast as possible with it being out less than 2 days....seriously. If you clearly look at the design in which SE and YoshiP are taking with FF14......Savage is clearly designed to appease the Hardcore players in the game while normal is for casuals and progressives. Noone to my knowledge has cleared A3 yet and I hope that noone does for a while. I respect any hardcore raiding FC who does these things and thats what drives them and if you are in one of these FCs.....good for you. There was nothing out of context. The parts I removed were literally not relevant to your topic which is about the Esoterics cap, and not about Alexander Savage. Regardless if I left everything intact, the same words are still there; "stop complaining about the Esoterics cap."

But I digress, there is little point in abolishing the weekly cap for current gear. Unless, of course, you have a reason other than wanting it for bragging rights. That's entirely up to you. As I've said before, the Law gear is enough for current non-hardcore content. Since, as you put it;
