They should only allow a certain amount of attempts per day, so that it encourages planning and skill, instead of just trying to zerg it repeatedly.

I'm looking at it liek this:
a 15 min cool down allows for different set ups, and substitution of players more readily.
if we had a week lock out, people would find the "I win" Set up and stick with it forever.
This may still happen, but i think people would be more open to outside of the box ideas for victory with spammable fights than with 7 day lock out.
they should reset entree every leve reset. I think the insta-spam method for instances is a horrible design, but it seems to be what the devs are going for.
A cool-down for 30 minutes would be nice.
You should wait if you die too fast or kill Ifrit too fast

This is the reason ff11 never really caught on. stupid time sinks.
15 mins is fine.
Depends how you look at it normal instances in WoW can be entered as many times as you like, heroic instances once a day, raids once a week.
These dungeons are like standard instances, maybe when they add alliance based raids (think Dynamis style content) they will have weekly timers on them.
/nod , something like 3-5 try in a day ...
Btw i see that as well people are very separate.. Some like 15 mins cd, and some people not.. Hmm..
I'm a fan of the system where you get a predetermined amount of runs per week and you can use them up as you see fit. That way people who are only able to play on weekends can use up all of their chances instead of losing out if they can't play during the week. Keeping content completely unrestricted (or 5/15 minutes, which is practically the same thing) leads to it getting cleared too fast and the rewards being trivialized. MMORPGs aren't work, but most players have the mind set that they are going to put in the time, be challenged and come out with something sparkly.
I also think end game battlefields should require a mandatory repeatable pre-quest for entry. This can potentially serve as a means to dump gil from the economy (am I the only one who is nervous that there are players who are near the hardcoded gil cap and the best sinks in this game are NQ gear that no one buys?) if a vendor purchase is required.
low wait times just means people will over-play it and be sick of it quicker (or get what they want and be done with it faster) This isnt an event like dynamis where it seems obvious to put a time limit.
tbh idc.
Not sure, I personally don't agree with it. But the gear obtained from the Ifirit fight will probably be inferior to gear obtained in much more time consuming manners "High slotted materia gear?"
So I still have something to take my time to strive for while people can spam a fight for the mediocre rewards.
