WAR, how is it in 3.0?

I use to WAR tank half of 2.0 and then switched to DRK in 3.0 cause I felt it would feel like an aggressive tanking class. :O Don't get me wrong I like DRK, it needs some changes but how fairs WAR? I'm currently trying to level it with the little time I have. I hear good things left and right and makes me go "Well, sheet. WAR seems to be super aggressive now" Trying to figure out what I'll play since ESO tomes kinda lock you into a Job and just wanting some opinions?

WAR main tank capably in 4 man content, and being able to stance dance effectively.

For Raids they are THE off tank choice.

In a word? FUN. "The world is a gigantic exposed neck, and if it messes with me, I'm going to cut it's ****-ing head off."

You basically walk around feeling like there's nothing you can't handle.

If you were already comfortable stance dancing its badass as soon as you get that 5% damage and get to save stacks in dps stance at 52, and only gets better with fell cleave, more defensive ogcds and decimate at 60 for ultimate trash clearing.

If you aren't comfortable stance dancing that's a shame and it won't feel much different in 4 mans, all these additions seem like a good incentive to start practicing it when you aren't taking heavy damage though.

Personally I prefer war's aggressive on the fly dancing to drks very formulaic dark arts spam. But I do play drk sometimes to mix things up.

Forum's light on WAR adjustment suggestions - but mostly I assume because people are pleased with their WAR performance.

Though an adjustment I'd like to see would be to Fracture. Hate having WSs that are completely ignored - especially their only DoT - (but then again some - like DRG Feint, MNK Haymaker are exceptions) and I'd like to see some buff to Fracture to make it worth consistently maintaining in MT role..

Like if it's used as a 4th hit in a Storm Eye, Storm Path, or Butcher Block combo it gives a stack of Wrath/Abandon for example

OMG! Applying Fracture without delaying Wrath/Abandon!! Droooool

WAR is amazing. It has the highest OT potential of the three tanks. And arguably highest MT DPS. It also has the highest aggro generation burst thanks to unchained and berserk.

WAR mitigation is great. There is no situation where a WAR won't have something to mitigate incoming damage. Thanks to Inner Beast alone. It has INSANE uptime. Couple in other CDs and you can out-mitigate everyone.

However, WAR is the hardest tank of the three to mitigate with since it requires planning around its GCD usage. That doesn't make it "hard" at all. Just harder than the other tanks' simple push-CD-to-mitigate-for-20-seconds. Also WAR is the least safe of the three tanks since it has no passive mitigation. If caught flat-footed and the healer wasn't paying attention, you take full damage and risk dying fast.

WAR is by far the best tank right now, for pretty much every situation. There isn't a single fight where you don't want a warrior.

They're great MT too. The only reason you don't see them MT more often is because they are SO GOOD at OT. So...yea.

If you didn't have gear issues or debuff or LB issues, you'd bring 2 warriors no doubt.

Warrior is BEAST. Also BEST. Favorite tank, still maining even after getting DRK to 50. I enjoy WAR so much I'm having a tough time deciding which tank to make myself level next. WAR brings so much to the table it's always good no matter the instance.
