What do people do with gil?

I am curious; what does one do with millions of gil?

I've only been playing for a couple months, and I just broke the million gil mark a couple weeks ago. I get all my gear through quests/dungeons. I don't craft or gather.
So... what do people do with all their gil? Are there, like, luxury sedans to save up for? College tuition? Can you set up a trust fund for your alts?

Nothing, honestly. You use it for teleports, gear repairs, food and potions.... otherwise nothing. You could say that getting a FC house is something to go for but really it only provides SOMETHING to spend your money on. Most of the houses I see, no one is ever in them. They're AFK by the Marketboard and Retainer Bell.
