Once you get into higher level dungeons, Tanks stop getting commendations outside of trials? Happened in ARR and it's happening in HW too. What's with that? Trying to get a parade chocobo here.

Do a expert Duty Finder and speed run without taxing your healers through careful cooldown management and watch the commendations come in.

It's quite possible to dual pull most stuff in Fractals and Neverreap.

I thought the only way to do any dungeon is to pull everything on your way until your road is blocked by a wall/gate.

Well I personally queue dungeons with a healer I know most of the time, we do fat speed runs and DPS seem to not give commendations to either of us. I think they give commendations to eachother which is I think cool because DPS need commendations too.

I always give them to BLMs for obvious reasons.

Yeah, I get commendations for being entertaining way more than just doing the job. I do the job really well, I explain anything that needs explaining, I talk about stuff. Because otherwise you're just mindlessly going from Point A to Point B.

The problem with this... and I'm very talkative when I think it's ok to talk, is when the other 3 do not say anything at all. Which discourages me from saying anything else for the rest of the run. I'm lucky if anyone says hello.

Let's be mindful that we are with each other for up to 30 minutes. That's a long time to not be saying anything.

getting commendations is a tricky thing these day due to people give commendations for different reason

just doing your job gives you a 50/50 likely hood of getting a commendation

getting noticed by your party give you a better likely hood of commendations

I can't say I've noticed such a trend. I Tank pretty much everything and I find I get commendations even if I royally screw up once or twice.

Have noticed this too, when speedrunning the 60 dungeons people (usually the dps) seem really on edge and impatient, probably from running the dungeon so many times. Even if you make no mistakes rarely get 1, sometimes 2.

Funnily enough I get much more frequently commendations in Neverreap as MNK, even with only mediocre contribution to trash clear speed. No rhyme or reason. :|

Honestly don't like the 1 commendation only system at all, it does not reflect how good someone did, if everyone did great then most in the group will still walk away without a commendation.

...no? I get multiple comms every single day. It's rare enough to not get one that I usually raise a brow, then shrug and say "hey, the healer did a good job too" and move on.
