I have come to terms with the weekly tome cap, sort of. With 3.0 we were given Law tomes with no cap, so that's endgame baseline, akin to Darklight gear as it was reintroduced in 2.0. While I don't exactly agree with hijacking other players' game time and that time's potential to mitigate the discrepancy between 'casuals' and 'hardcore', I can also read the writing on the wall: the weekly cap isn't going anywhere soon.

The cap lasts too long considering Legacy and 2.0 players are in the same boat for the first time, a few max jobs, wanting some of that Artifact gear we've been drooling over for the better part of a year. Cap tomes for a month. If you aren't capping tomes weekly, it's obviously not high on your priority list, and so what is the argument for forcing players who are eager to advance more quickly to play at the pace of players who frankly aren't as interested as them? You're a helicopter parent, SE. Time to let your ducklings sink or swim.
