Parry is a nice alternative (but not as good as) the shield white mages lost from going to lvl 60, 1 crit/parry acc gave me just under 0.5% extra parry rate over the course of the average FL matchTo be fair though, as I said before a lot of the pvp gear still has good stat allocations. I dont know how good parry are for tanks for pvp(I know in some pvp games , stats that are good for pve arent for pvp and viceversa) but assuming that crit/det is still the way to go, the pvp armor has good pieces with crit/det det/ss crit/ss combinations, and can fill in your acc slots with accuracy, this is assuming we arent hurting for accuracy.
The OP was saying something about 568-570 but this was being blinded. So that has to be taken into consideration, how much acc people feel comfortable with.
not as good as a crit/det accs of course
The only issue with the pvp gear and as I mentioned the melds, is that the pvp entry says "during pvp, materia bonuses are also ignored" Is that to imply any materia over the cap? or just materias themselves are not counted period? This would be a bit strange as why put pvp gear with melds and then not count them. Can anyone confirm?
Either way, unless you need accuracy, some of the pvp items are still good options with crit/det or acc+ 2nd, as some of the other gear pieces have acc/ss or acc/parry if you're a tank or something parry.
Its sad that SE neglects this part of the game content.
Under an ilvl sync (Frontlines) materia is ignored even if it's on PvP gear. The materia slots only function in PvP with no sync (Wolves Den)The only issue with the pvp gear and as I mentioned the melds, is that the pvp entry says "during pvp, materia bonuses are also ignored" Is that to imply any materia over the cap? or just materias themselves are not counted period? Well that sucks... The biggest flaw I think tanks have in PvP is that they're often just a bit too slow to finish the death blow on their attacks, so I was looking forward to melding some extra skill speed into my gear (after I did the math to find out if it would actually get me that extra second I need). Guess there won't be a point one way or another if the materia is void during actual matches.
I'm at 500 acc and only miss like once a game once in a while. I max out dex and crit. no problem getting fever.
Mercy Stroke, that shit has gave me most kills and its also good way to humiliate your opponent :P
PS: What comes to accuracy its not needed at all, having a base 354 still gives me 100% hit-rate unless you are hitting a healer that popped Attunement(duh).

Until we get some published parse data its just a guessing game, it could very well be that SE have removed the accuracy requirement for sieze
That being said, it's pretty fun watching peopel claim accuracy isnt needed and then watch them parse less than 90% accuracy in matches
Totally agree. SE seems to completely ignore PvP. I've seen a lot of good ideas fly around the forums, but I don't think SE will implement any of them. They patch everything else, but PvP seems to get no love from the dev team.
Thanks for answering my question, though.
I just got Bard to 60, and PVP rank to 50, and comparing my new i180 PVP bow to the i180 law tome bow, I realized the law tome bow had better stats at the same ilvl (Crit/Det). So, off I went to make a glamour prism and stash my shiny new bow in my retainer's inventory.
