Craft items with materials held by your retainer.

All crafting items should be accessible without having to swap items out and make room. Without having to check a separate box, accessible only in certain areas, to see if you can or can't make something. If you have the item, you can craft with it.

FFXIV out shines many a game but this is 1 feature I am surprised hasn't been finished. Considering the grand amount of items and that we can have up to 8 retainers. I'd imagine most people would really appreciate this feature for even doing their dailies.

Other games have this but restrict you to be near a bank for this to activate.

I think I would be okay with that tradeoff.

Like, standing out in the middle of Sea of Clouds would show that you have 0 Millioncorn when trying to craft Cornmeal.
But if you have 99 in your retainer and you stand next to the bell, it would show 99 Millioncorn, but in slightly different color to indicate it's a retainer item.
If you had some in your inventory that would show up instead in both cases.

So, use case:

• Away form Bell (10 inventory, 0 retainer) 10 crafting log
• Away from Bell (10 inventory, 5 retainer) 10 crafting log
• Away from Bell (0 inventory, 5 retainer) 0 crafting log
  
  
• Next to Bell (10 inventory, 0 retainer) 10 crafting log
• Next to Bell (10 inventory, 5 retainer) 10 crafting log
• Next to Bell (0 inventory, 5 retainer) 5 crafting log

I'll admit i have been used to the GW2 / SWTOR / WoW way where no matter where you are you can craft it. So long as it is in your bank.
If because of the roleplay aspect it was restricted to Cities/Areas with bells it would still be comfortable albeit not as simplistic.

I think this aspect needs to be very heavily looked at and implemented considering we can have so many retainers. ((up to 8))
It takes so much time to go between each retainer and each tab, summoning and unsummoning retainers.
I hope people can appreciate having this and someday we receive this feature.
