Red scrips of crafting : more accessible less spending

Firstly, personally I thought this red crafting gear was gonna be more accessible towards new players introduced to the game but somehow you still need a lot of money (200k-600k) in other to access this gear.

Gathering red gear is , in my opinion is free. You only need the time. In 7 hours of farming collectables you already got 448 red scrips. (I already got enough for a full set just waiting to trade them in) So there goes one piece of gear. And I spent NOTHING. so I think gathering gear is great and works like esos and law gear where you just farm away without spending money at all.

crafting red gear is a joke. You will still need to spend a good chunk of money to get red scrips. I tried doing it yesterday and I ended up wasting nearly 600k just to craft 8 collectables out of the 21 I need.

There should be a quest where u craft red gear like ixali quest where there's good grade of difficulty but no money involve. Just sharing a thought

Crafting was never free. You always needed some gil to start leveling crafting or you have to gather everything yourself, its the same here.

They really need to change the favor system though, because right now we are gathering way more than crafting

I gathered my own materials for my first week cap, but it's a lot. Literally hundreds of mats (quantity), to craft intermediate mats, to craft the items to turn in. So it's millions of gil worth of stuff by current market prices. Included hunting animals with unreliable drop rates and limited time unspoiled gathering nodes. I have the time to do it, but I imagine it's hard on a lot of people. Awarding more scrips per turn in would help.

It's 75 minutes of gathering favor items on average (Assuming rng is merciful and this can easily dip into 90 minutes)

...For one crafting material.

Most crafts need anywhere from 2 to 4 of those materials.

I constantly send my retainer out to gather for me. I have 5 now 2 dow/dom (only one is actually 60) and 1 of each gathering type (unfortunately all the fishing 1 hour ventures are absolute garbage - I've only seen cul desynth items.) I personally only go out for the unspoiled nodes since they can't gather those but they can go gather things like chrysolite while I'm gathering aurum regis sand while waiting for alb. mistletoe.

If you have excess guildleves go check out the (L) crafting leves. You can sometimes get a multi-turn in which rewards like 20 deepeye tears (alchemy 52 tier... I think?) so you get 60 total with the 3 turn ins. I think i've seen a multi turn in reward with mistletoes too.

You can also potentially get the beef bullion for higher level cul cooking from the 58 guildeve tier.

I won't disagree that it's painful. I've probably used up at least 200 ventures since scrips came out.
