    I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro N from Windows 8.1 Pro N.

Previously in Windows 8.1 Pro N, the game could not run as WMVcore.DLL was missing, this is a component missing from N version of Windows which is resolved by installing Media Player package. However this package does not exist in Windows 10 yet and the older installers for older versions of Windows is incompatible, so you're forced to google up for missing DLL files and place into the game folder.

The game runs smoothly - until it crashes, I don't know what's happening, the game doesn't actually crash, but the video does not update anymore and stays still as if it's crashed. The sound playback still works flawlessly, I can hear the music playing in background, my mouse cursor moving over menus and other players casting spells.

Word of advice for those running Windows 7/8/8.1 N to NOT upgrade.

I'd like to know for sure as well....I'm not going to miss out on a free upgrade potentially because I have to wait till "mid august" for them to make it compatible with Windows 10. I'm not going to upgrade and not be able to play the game either, not with savage alexander progression and weekly tome caps to hit. Screw that noise.

    Upgraded to Win10.

No issues graphically or hardware. However I have increased load times when porting to a new area.

Outside of that, no issues. Here's hoping things improve in August.

Windows 10 upgrade is free for a year, so I will wait it out to see any problems first.

Just a word of warning to folks, people are confirming lower performance issues on games, especially those running off Nvidia GTX series cards. If you are unsure of upgrading to Win10, I would highly recommend not doing so until some updates come in. For FFXIV in particular, I would recommend holding back until developers confirm it is safe to upgrade.

I am definitely waiting on my personal PC. Need to give companies time to make sure they are updated and optimized for the new OS.

Watch your drivers as well with Windows 10 - I have not installed it in any personal PCs that I run at home - however I have been testing it in my office environment and have confirmed that the earlier test builds all the way up to the latest test build / official release has stripped out several essential drivers just to operate a Dell monitor and the IDE ATA/ATAPI controller. Been reinstalling this stuff all morning.

Don't forget to update your video drivers!

    NVidia: 32-bit / 64-bit

    AMD: 32-bit / 64-bit

You also might need to update motherboard/INF/other drivers as well.

Mine is downloaded and ready for me to install but I am holding off on doing so. I want to see how it performs and what fixes they make before they install it. I'll give it a couple months at least before I actually do jump in, unless, of course, it actually runs perfect from the get go for everyone. And considering this is Microsoft we are talking about here...
