Wolves' Den: Full Party (8) to VS each other (4 vs 4)

Obviously there's a lot of people throwing around a ton of ideas about Frontlines and that's the big thing right now, but what about Wolves' Den?

I really want to run a casual/static 8-man (4 vs 4) group with my guild just to hone our skills and have some fun every week. You can't really do that with Frontlines, there's just so little time to learn anything and the new Frontlines is far less about killing and more about RNG reaction time.

Benefits of allowing Full Party to queue for Wolves' Den:
    + 8-man queue guarantees intended 4 vs 4
+ Friendlier one-on-one rivals for FC or cross-FC
+ Hone skills to make Frontlines more about strategy
+ Quell some of the rage about the PvP debate by separating tome grinding vs. actual progress.
+ Gives PvP addicts a place to learn from one another.

Please consider this as an alternative to the number of complaints as of late, thank you!!

To be fair, if you're willing to fuss with language settings you can already set up 4v4s relatively easily. The only issue is that your combined ranks have to be somewhat similar or the game won't queue you together.

Agreed this should be a built in option, maybe even teleporting you to a lobby area where you can decide which 4 players are on each team. This would be a great way to get newer people into wolves den as it can be extremely unforgiving to newcomers (especially healers). It would also be a good way for people to get practice for the upcoming ranking system.

As long as the reduce the rewards low enough that people don't start spamming win trades here to hit max rank, and they don't include these results towards your new wolves den ranking, this would be awesome.

While you currently can muck around with the language settings to accomplish this, they're changing the way match making works in the future, so this may no longer be able to work.

This. If you are on an English based server, have both teams set language to JP (or another language), balance each team to have a similar average rank, and queue at the same time. Sometimes you get a random group doing the same thing, but usually you get the intended team.

I've been wondering... have you done that quest in Ishguard that has you travel to these 'chocobo proving grounds' which are also 'sometimes uses for other purposes'? It's a separate area you can leave and reenter, with spectator areas and a big battle circle in the middle you can't enter. As soon as I saw it I wondered if it was intended for some future PVP use such as like mentioned above, where you could set up matches with your own 4v4 or 8v8 teams and ppl could even spectate. Probably too good to be true. Or you have to arrange for it 3 months in advance like with weddings lol.

This is exactly the problem and why this is necessary.

If you intentionally pair up with a full party, you should be able to ignore the ranking and allow players to just play as-is. You can teach and learn from one another and give tips that can't exist elsewhere.

PvP's greatest obstacle right now across the board is "we can't play with our friends and that makes it a lot less fun." This was solved so quickly with Alliances for Crystal Tower, and I think this is an easy fix.
