Newbie Solo Gardener Questions.

So I finally bought a house after months of saving with my character eating grass and living in a tent in the woods. I'm planning to plop down gardening spots when I finally have some gil again, so a couple of questions for a new gardener:

1. You... don't actually NEED to be an appropriate level botanist to grow and harvest certain crops right?
2. I'm going through google and I can't find lists of new seeds for HW. I assume HW has, as of now, not introduced new seeds right?
3. My biggest problem is that every few days I work a 30 hour shift (hospital), and the gardening guides say that you should water your garden ideally at least once every 24 hours. Am I basically going to go home to dead plants after my long shifts, or do I have some leeway?

1. No, select soil and seed, plant.
2. Not sure.
3. Can get away without watering for 48hrs, I think it was 48 before they die. You can use fertilizer (fish meal) and the plant will grow faster. There is an amount of time that it shaves off for each fertilizer given, but you do still have to water regularly.

Just one tip: remember to always water the plants after fertilising them, because you are shaving one hour of both growth and watering timer.

I highly recommend the website that the above person posted. If you can manage it, level up mining and botany to do your own soil/seed farming. They can get pretty expensive! Another thing to ponder on is that though no one can fertilize your garden for you, they CAN water it! So if you are concerned, you can have someone stop by!
