Windows 10 Companion App

For a while the Windows community has been asking for a companion app available for the Windows Phone to join with our Android and iPhone cousins.

With the advent of Windows 10 and universal apps, I believe it is time for the development teal to seriously reconsider building a companion app for the Windows Platform.


Not only are the longest lasting and, arguably, the majority of your subscribers on the PC, but the majority own a Windows PC, Laptop or Tablet. Soon the adaptation of Windows 10 on these devices will be the overwhelming majority of your consumer base.

How many players would enjoy an authenticator app and companion app right on the desktop? How many players would benefit from this?

The answer I believe is obvious.

Dev Team, please reconsider or offer some feedback as to if this will be done, discusses it decided upon.

I thought this was going to materialize way back when, during that big "Square Enix loves Microsoft" event before ARR's launch. Instead, iOS and Android got Libra and Windows users got a bag of air. Oh wait, no, we got a Windows 8 theme...

I think that would be cool but look at how SE supports Windows 8.1. They don't. If you look at the newest system requirements for Windows for Heavenward they still only list Windows 7. Windows 8 and 8.1 are close to 2 years old now. Seems to me support for a pc app for Windows 10 on the pc and on their mobile devices may be rather slow in coming.
