Dreadwyrm dyable (Again) But.... Dropping in Alex Savage!

    ------- May 2015 UPDATE --------

    Sacred bump. I saw 3.3, I saw a video with dyed dreadwyrm... I... I...

I SMELL ANOTHER "PAY TO SECRET BLACK MARKET TO GET YOUR ARMOR, THROW WHATEVER YOU HAVE IN YOUR INVENTORY" (It's called High Allagan Replica right now) REPLICA.

Please, tell me it'll be that all my dreadwyrm gear will become dyable, please, please.....

Not even making them valuable gear to drop in Midas in exchange to how awfully Midan gear looks, not that old idea anymore, but, at least, everything but turning it into something that all dem crafters will now boast of without even fighting.

I'm glad, really glad that Dreadwyrm will become available, BUT.... Not the way High Allagan was, till the point that the high allagan cool fending armor became "That armor everyone paid for even if they needed to use the black market"

As a lover of dreadwyrm, that farmed it till no end when waiting for expansion.... I would not like that to see... (80% of my glamours are dreadwyrm... And the other 20% are not dreadwyrm because I stored them, waiting to the day I could change to some nice white-black or golden )

"Making gear of past seasons become cheaper to obtain easy is okay. Making one of the best looking gears ever, previously a hardcore raiding difficult treasure, then a farmed thing, and now a going to be favorite-of-thousands dyable glamour a cheapy coin for gil.... Is not"

    ------- OLD 2015 idea --------

----- Main idea & small comment about it -----

Hi, I'll explain the idea and reasoning about this...

Back to the good times of FCOB, we had a lot, LOT of incentivation to go and finish it! Even groups who didn't even make it after echo came, the reasons, among many others like the story and the challenge was that.... Dreadwyrm gear was, and still, AWESOME

And, in the matters of glamour, Dreadwyrm gear stills unbeatable, only reason some people who has it may stopped to use it is for changing a bit their look I guess, and because many people having it after echo, and even more now with undersized.

    So, please...

TL;DR MAKE DREADWYRM GEAR DYABLE!.... (Following the why's and how's )

---- Why make dreadwyrm gear dyable? ----

1- It's awesome looking, and stills not having comparison in game, Alexander Savage gear is lame.
2- For giving a bit of reward for those who cleared FCOB and now will clear alexander savage
3- Because there's not really incentive to clear Alexander savage now, the gear is useful but, glamour-wise is pathetic in comparison with dreadwyrm.
4- Basically for not wasting it, it doesn't deserve to be wasted, yet.
5- It has a lot of potential to be even triple awesome if dyed... I mean, I LOVE dreadwyrm gear even if I dislike purple colors. The golden details would fit sooo good if I could dye for example black, white... Geez, even red would look badass.

    ---- How? ----

We have gordian tokens right now, isn't it? Gordian manifesto 1, 2, 3, 4... And such... Okay... So here we have two ways to obtain dreadwyrm gear dyable from this place.

Way 1: Make it so we get a drop in each turn called "Dreadwyrm gear augmentation". Then we can go and exchange in any NPC these dreadwyrm gear augmentation like this. 18 dreadwyrm augmentation + a dreadwyrm chest = Augmented dreadwyrm chest... This augmented item can be dyable. We could do the same tokens for pants, 10 tokens, 5 tokens the gloves-hat-shoes.

Way 2: It could also be similar to the way 1, but... Directly using the Gordian Manifesto Pages, this would be interesting because we'd need to choose either getting actual gear actual useful gear, or dyable gear. So we could use the gordian manifesto pages for either having to choose, get gear, or dye our dreadwyrm. The gordian manifesto page 1 could be used to exchange for head, feet and hands, at the same cost that it for obtaining the gordian gear. The gordian manifesto page 2 could be used to exchange that same gear, but half the price that actual gear. Page 3 for legs, half the cost gordian gear is. And Page 4 half the cost for the gordian gear again.....

To sum this idea, you go to a NPC and exchange for example, dreadwyrm gloves of casting and gordian manifesto page 1 x 4 for one Augmented dreadwyrm gloves of casting, or change dreadwyrm gloves of casting and gordian manifesto page 2 x 2 for the same... Or change Dreadwyrm Robe of Casting + Gordian Manifesto page 4 for Augmented Dreadwyrm Robe of casting...

    ---- Why that way? ----

The way to make dreadwyrm gear (raid gear) dyable should be... Obviously, through doing more raids (Please drop any idea of level 70 crafters thousand stars doing treasure maps in Hydaelin's core). Right now, we don't have incentive enough to get drops in Alexander Savage, speaking glamour-wise. So, it'd be good if at least we could show a bit more our progression while also using our lovely dreadwyrm gear, enhanced....

Either of the two ways is okay! Just please do it!... Or at least... Take it in consideration.

I'd like High Allagan dyable... wanted it ever since seeing Unei and Doga in the green High Allagan.

You do realize that the Alex Savage gear IS dyable... right?

That alone gives more reason to farm Savage for Glam over Dreadwyrm, beside the fact that the gear is still new. People will want it for glam. There is plenty of reason to get Savage drops for both the stats and for glamor.

Dyable Dreadwyrm should really not be tied to the current hardest raid, especially not taking the tokens that you could be using instead to gear both main and alt classes, and buying esoteric gear upgrade items with. Dreadwyrm had it's time, and it's time is kind of over now. If they even do it as some type of augmentation, it should be in a way that is more accessible to people not in Alex Savage.

Dreadwyrm gear, if dyable, would be just the most awesome gear to the moment, no point into making it easy as you say, It has to be in difficult raid only, yes or yes... What would be the point in obtaining awesome gears if we will just go and dye the gear we obtained by just login in? (For an example). IT happens right now with certain Ravana weapons for example, some are cool and worth showing, and others (Especially monk) not, and you have to glamour old stuff such as Nexus awesome Sphairai that is not even remotely difficult to get, even less now.

Cool looking stuff should be linked to difficulty too.

And the gordian gear, even if dyable, is just awful in comparison. (Again, speaking only of the glamours. Not stats)

Something something glamour is subjective something opinions.

We just got over 70 ilvls worth of new gear designs some of which (subjectively) look far better than dreadwyrm and i have multiple sets of it myself. I'll agree they should make it dyable or add a new dyable variant but thematically it doesn't fit the new raids, not every set is going to look good to everyone and i'm sure there are people who like the looks of the new Alex gear.

I'd take this a million times over dreadwyrm personally.

Sorry but Dreadwyrm will never be either dyable or dropped in alexander (makes no sense lol).

And if it makes it, it will probably be via crafting, which would be nice btw, a glamour many people will be willing to throw millions of gil at, giving crafters a much needed reason to craft, as things are in the expansion so far, crafting is literally useless.

Unfortunately, no amount of dye can help that atrocious armor.

At this point I'm not sure why all armor isn't dyable

Would be nice, everyone going around like purple clones at the time made it get old real quick.
