    Will Lightning ever regain her memories of Eorzea?

    How much longer are we going to have to hold on to her memories, not that I mind but I would like to see her regain them. Maybe even bring other party members along like Noel and Sarah, if she does physically return.

    While I'm fairly sure they'll bring back the Lightning Strikes event periodically, I doubt they'll expand on it.

    If you've played Lightning Returns, during the quest line in Yusnaan that gains you the miqo'te separates outfit for her, Hope basically states that in the FFXIII universe, Eorzea, and miqo'te, is just a myth told in stories, and Light's time in Eorzea is never mentioned at all. It's basically the same as wearing a chocobo costume to her, there is no deeper lore connection mentioned in regards to it. So I'm going to say definitely a resounding no she will not.

    It's like FFVII's Cloud not remembering his time in Ivalice during FF Tactics.

    There's a teensy tiny little bit of fridge horror when you realize that... (LR:FFXIII endgame spoilers)
    The one who explained to Lightning about the magical fantasy land is actually the same being who sent her there to begin with (and took her memories after), and has kept quiet about countless other things as well. Bhuni!Hope, you lying bastard.


    So not being mentioned in LR:FFXIII actually makes sense in-universe.

    They focused too much on her and the rest of the XIII saga cast suffered for it, but Lightning herself is a decent character.

    That said, I don't really like her being in-game. References and shout-outs are cool but to have another game's character there in the flesh... yeah, not a big fan. Same goes for Shantotto.
