People have already told you how to help yourself: COMMUNICATE! Tell your group that you would want to do a full clear, tell them that you will watch cutscenes, etc. I would bet the majority won't have a problem with it. The time difference between a full clear and a speedrun in most lower level dungeons is not that big...

Or you can become a tank, then you will be the one choosing the route.

The DF mainly only works because higher level players use the duty roulette.
All of those would likely choose the speed-run option.
= new players would have horrendous queue times.
