Reclaiming old FC

I used to run a fc on Byrnhildr called Dango Daikazoku. I left the game awhile ago and it all but dismantled except for two inactive characters. Is there anyway to reclaim the FC? I wouldn't care except for the mansion I raised the 58 mil for. It's just sitting there unused and two people are left in the FC.

Sorry to say, but you are out of luck for the most part. GMs will probably tell you that either it was your responsiblity to keep everything in check or that they won't step in for personal FC affairs. You could still try to talk to a GM about it and see what they say. If the two remaining people in the FC are active, try talking to them about the issue. If they're not active at all, only thing you can try to do is wait 35 days to pass until the game revokes the leadership status and gives it back to you as long as you been active in the week before the revoke.

I am not in the fc. It's just sitting there unused. Big waste of a large mansion plot. That's why I am seeing if I can be put into it.

Oh you got booted? Yeah, you're not getting your stuff back. GMs are going to cite it as an "issue between players" and probably won't step in.

Was kinda hoping for a response from someone more in the know. No offense. I could have speculated possible scenarios on my own.

You cannot be reinstated to an fc leader because you claim the others in there are inactive. There are rules in place for a reason, and unfortunately whoever gained control of the fc after you took your hiatus removed you from it, along with your chance of gaining control back. The current leader is the only one that can promote you back to leader, if he/she even wanted to. Lastly i'm not sure this is the correct forum to post this, if you were hoping for a dev response you should note that tech support forums are mostly players helping each other with technical issues.

I did miss the general air of toxicity from the FFXIV community. The issue is the person removed EVERYONE, not some personal vendetta you people seem to be trying insinuate (I'm not even familiar with person it eventually fell to), and there have been instances in the past of gm intervention when something amiss happened such as FC leaders looting and running etc. I know it is beyond a long shot and honestly I didn't know where else to ask. So I tried Techinical in hopes of avoiding a troll fest in another forum. Instead I get this.

With players returning, it is at least worth a discussion of this definite eventuality. I'm sure a mod will move this to appropriate forum and I apoligize for not being sure where to put it. And while it is very likely you guys are correct, I would add that it is not necesary to be an ass and you should stay away from forums like these.

Nobody is being a troll or an ass. They're just stating the truth.
I know from experience that the GMs will do nothing to help. I ran my own FC and went inactive for a while, when I came back the leadership had swapped to someone else and everyone was removed. Upon contacting a GM to ask if there was anyway to reclaim it, they told me to talk to the current leader. This is to prevent a leader from going inactive, and having the FC come to a stand-still if the players within it are still active and wanting to play.

The best solution is to attempt to contact the player who has become the leader, but as you mentioned they're inactive this seems unlikely. Unfortunately in a situation like this you're more-or-less out of luck unless they happen to become active again.

For future reference, the best place to post a thread like this would be in either the Companies forum under 'Gameplay' or possibly General Discussion under 'Community'.

I was looking for an answer like that and thank you, although I maintain that the first two responses were the reason I stay away from forums in the first place. I did want hear from someone who had actually experienced this and tried. It's really a shame as I suspect it will most certainly up the same in my case (although gm support has never been constant in their standards, so i contacted them anyway). This doesn't erase the issue that there is a mansion fully decked out that no one can really use. I was planning on giving it to anyone on the server who could make good use of it before I transfered out (server is dead and I am sure some diehard would appreciate it). I understand gm transfership and it is a fantastic tool, but this has created a secondary problem.

Why I like WoW's system. Only certain ranks can apply for leadership. I keep dead ranks above my officers positions to explicitly prevent commandeering.

I trust them enough to run it, but not enough to not completely take over.
