Well I wouldnt call it uninformed. It was a choice to ignore the chest. You had two ways of grinding the alex drops - it depends where you want your "item spike" to be. Hands, Chest and Pants all come from 3 and 4, so you either get hands week 1 and then wait 4 weeks with nothing and get pants/chest together, or you get hands week 1, Pants week 3 (ready for alex savage), and have two weeks being stronger but delay the chest until week 7 (or never buy chest and get the eso).

Getting 4 Shafts is fine, but you delay other items so are slightly less powerful in the first couple of weeks. The chest has garbage stats on it so I'm not unhappy - in 3 weeks anyway I'll have weapon + Eso Chest + full i190, it just means I had a stronger opening week but a slightly weaker midweek spike! It also means when I get the 190 chest in a few weeks I can use it on my scholar >_>

But yeah I'll probably buy the sword anyway and actually use the purchase to check on parses how much it boosts me. We're making great progress on A1S and I -can- survive the tank busters fine so I guess it's better to focus on hitting the 8:40 enrage.

People are reporting Determination to be 72 for a 1.5 DPS increase... Though I'm not sure on this one at all.
Crit has been found out to be 43 points to 1% crit chance, and 1% crit damage. (All points from gear)
and Parry has also been figured out to where the best possible set (i210) gives you a 29% parry chance, @20% damage per hit mitigated. (I calculated this to be a 7% physical damage reduction over time set) Still not worth it to matter... >.>

However what this means for right now is that the i190 gear is senseless in "statting" for, when you look at the significantly more than 10 ilvl boost to primary stats they give over law gear.
Then Alex Savage being a very gear check fight says you would want the strongest 190 pieces asap, with all others being so easy to grab. I just got my gear 1 token per week in each left side piece. So my items ramp up each week, with tomorrow being my spike, and full 190 before any Eso gear. 1/2/2/4/3*

But lower delay means less TP gain per hit, and... Oh wait, this is XIV. Weapons have delays here?

They do when there are 2 per ilvl and have the same weapon damage. =P This only applies to Sword Oath DPS though.

Weapon delay is a big deal for PLDs. (and BRD still???) Lower delay = more AAs = large sword oath advantage.

    Basically this ^

Someone has figured out the math for the most efficient route of getting all upgrades. Doing this allows you to get 3 left side upgrades in 5 weeks. I'll have to post the link when I get home but basically

    Week 3 = Weapon
    Week 4 = Belt
    Week 5 = Chest
