Character Re-customization

Hello!
I would like to suggest the introduction of a feature, which I believe a lot of players would like to see: Character Re-customization.

Such a feature could allow you to change the appearance of your character while maintaining all your progress, giving you the chance to play around with hairstyles facial traits and other attributes.

It is unavoidable that a player will create a bond with his character over time and there might be a need to set limits to how far you can change your character without loosing identity. Still, there is no reason you shouldn't be able to change at least your hair style, hair color and facial hair at a "local barber"

For example, after 3 months playing as a mage, player X decides to rank marauder and features like scars and facial hair would make for a more immersive game play.

Limited to hair and color, it can be nice free game feature that many would appreciate, especially after spending a lot of time growing your character and becoming tired of the same look, in need of fresh do over to keep players interested.

An extended version would be the full re-customization, free of charge for the time being and available for a fee once the game becomes pay to play.

I wouldnt mind a feature like a barbershop. It was implemented in WoW and it worked pretty well, and they updated the races hairstyles not long ago as well.

But first of all, I want the devs to make the game ready for relaunch on PS3 ^^

I'd be interested in this, if only to switch hairstyles every week or something, haha.

Lol, I totally regret the skin color I chose for my Miqo'te. I would totally pay for the option to change it, and possibly her hair, too. :P

I remember Tanaka said way back in the day that this was going to be implemented... I can only hope Yoshi feels the same!

Agreed! This would be a nice implementation and I'd be willing to wait for it.

Yoshi-P already said they were going to do it. Around the time of the PS3 launch it is planned I think.

I already heard from a couple of people that they would allow us to change appearance once ps3 version is released.
Can anyone post a link of Yoshi's discussion about this matter?

I just hope that means, at Ps3 release, we'll have more than cross-race re-releases of hairstyles. :/
Also, better choices of colour would be lovely. Having certain choices race locked (looking at Miqote) was a real pain in the ass. I understand Race related uniqueness but this can be done without the use of certain shades and...oddities. D:
And if anything I'd love if they could lower the noses on all the races.

Certain noses on Elezen, and Hyur are way too high up on the faces. They make the mouths look ape-ish. :- )
