V-neck/Open top robes for all Disciples of Magic.

    Hi there.

I've been playing for just over a year now and one of my favorite things to do in game is to glamor my white mages gear. In my quest to finding the ultimate glamor, I've gone through PvP glamor, Achievement glamor and crafted glamors.

Its one of the things I was looking forward to in heavensward and there were some nice glamors like the Orthodox Robe (which I have to say looks stunning! Hope you guys make this a craftable dyeable in the future.)

Unfortunately the variety in my opinion was lack luster and a lot of these new glamors are either re-skinned versions of old gear like the daystar and pilgrims sets and while I understand why the designers choose to make most white mage gear priest-like or druid looking because of lore and plot, I can't help but feel like my mage is being stereotyped when classes like paladin and dark knight can share armor glamor. (And Caster and healer do not)

Long story short, please get a little more creative with the robes, I think its about time the Disciples of Magic classes should get a overhaul of their glamors, it just completely ruins the sense of immersion when you see an army of healers all wearing the same tombstones of law robes or the infamous Coliseum Gear

What we need is something like an open top/V neck robe set such as Lulu's robe from Final fantasy 10 or Edea's dress from Final Fantasy 8

Now while some aren't as big on model skin as much as others, I think its completely justified when we already have this and this.
Plus if lightnings/clouds clothes set is in FF14 then there is no reason a dress like lulu's or edea's shouldn't be in the game for lore reasons.

    Thank you for listening,

    I look forward to feedback.

Would like to see gear look suited toward the job that plays it, like the healer robes for white mages. It makes them easy to identify, but then look at daystar robes, completely the opposite. Ugly. I tell myself they keep the good designs for later, but lately I've been doubting that.

I'm not saying it was ascians... but it was ascians.

    Each to his own. Still....
    Isn't that boring though?

Personally I'm the opposite, I always try to make my Elezen unique to everyone else
It helps the immersion of the game I think when everyone is in so many different gears.

I agree that their should be more variety in armour in general to be honest and not just the mage's robe.

As the tank stuff in Heavensward has actually been quite good but in 2.0 there wasn't much variety and I always wanted something proper for a paladin that was heavy shoulder gear in clad in white with a cloak and skirt make it look more like a paladin would, which I still haven't seen quite yet in Heavensward.

Their are afew like this but not enough to warrant variety but yeah i agree with OP more variety in gear please and the open top gear I would like!

Yus! More variety is always good.

Also, Edea's/Lulu's robe please (leaning more towards Lulu's if I'm completely honest). Or something like them.

When I came across the holy rainbow top as a quest reward while leveling, I thought it was a (very small) step in the right direction, but then that's where it stopped. I do like the covered up robes (I love the SMN/BLM Law set <3), but I would like to see more of what is being suggested by the OP too.

    Exactly.

I was surprised to see a shirt for mages (even if it was a re-skin),
I'm just tired of seeing the same robe models used over and over.

Been going as far as rank 38 for PvP glamors and 1500 commendations for the Best gown ever, they are really nice glamors, but...
Something about them doesn't feel......right...when I put them on my elezen.

The orthodox robe is the closest I've gotten to finding the right outfit, but the colors are all wrong.

Picture a blue orthodox robe of healing with white trim, no hood that clips long hair and a V neck.
Now thats something I'd spent millions of gil on right there.

I like the idea of having a robe similar to Lulu's dress, however the issue at hand would be for the guys who play healers. Most guys tend to hate that of most clothes fit a female, so the problem is that SE tries to find a unisex design for the robes that fit both genders. While the crafter top is cute, guys unfortunately get stuck wearing bowties. If they were to make a V-neck top like how they did with the miner's top, I think that would be a unisex design right there since it can properly flatter a female's and male's chest.

The issue of hair clipping through the hood would also be fixed if they removed the hoods and made high-collars like with the Swangrace robe which I loved, but only from the waist-up. The could have the hoods be made /visor-able; small animation of your character pulling the hood on and off if said robe has a hood. It was a popular request for people when they obtain their lvl50 WHM robe; a lot of disappointment when people couldn't and often are stuck with circlets that only worked with certain hairstyles that showed the forehead.

Now I feel like drawing robe designs xD

    Oh please do!

I would love to see someone draw a v-neck orthodox robe with no hood or a swangrace with no neck metal and more realistic coat tails!
