    It all depends on the parser settings. If it considers downtime as zero DPS, then your DPS will be way lower on the Oppressors, since they fly up in the air and you can't DPS. Also, depending on the jobs, there's AoE to be considered too.
    If you're handling adds, depending on how much you have to move without DPSing, the numbers will be lower too.

    For example, here's from my raid group in Faust (A1 Savage). The first shows the general DPS, the second is the DPS on Faust alone.


    My DPS as a BRD is higher on the first because of my Flaming Arrow hitting the adds. (Also the SMN has ~1.63k DPS, but only ~1.08k on Faust)

    Because of that, always try to compare instead of taking only the numbers into consideration. Without proper context they can mean nothing.
    If you're top DPS in a fight, it's generally a good sign, despite the numbers. Try asking other Ninjas, running with them.

    Also, parsing in a striking dummy is a good way to have a "standard" to compare.
