Yea my point was that if you are happy to use just keyboard that's just fine, nobody is going to stop you from doing that.

It doesn't change the fact that many existing (and the majority of new players) will want standard mouse and keyboard controls.

I don't care if you play with the PS3 move, I was responding to your calling playing with keyboards "assbackwards".

If they do add more keyboard controls from other mmos I'd like just the option to map a couple more keys, for the most part I played xi completely on keyboard, I'm brainwashed, XIV was very easy to pick on keyboard being similar to xi in some ways, I just think the functionality of some keys was lost, and the new keyboard mapping crap in 1.19 seems to fix a lot of my woes. Sorry you deal with brainwashed people like me who like it the way it is :/, I'm okay with them adding your keyboard style too as long as I can just keep my old people sh!t.

People really need to stop bringing up "Well, compared to FFXI it's a lot easier, I LIKE IT! yyyaaaay".

That's nice for you, but remember that the majority of gamers are going to be coming from games like WoW, Rift, AoC, <insert any big name MMO within the last 5 years>. People are used to using keyboard and mouse and are also used to a smooth interface that can be navigated within 5 seconds if you know what you're looking for. It takes around 7+ from the time I hit home and click inventory to the time inventory comes up.

Getting stuff out of your retainer is such a time-consuming process it's not even funny.

You can scoff and say a few seconds doesn't matter but it does. Little things add up and make the overall experience feel clunky and slow.

You should be able to pick up and play this game. All of my friends fumble the first week before tolerating it. That's right, tolerating. That's not the word you want used when it comes to the interface.
