So when I'm running dungeons and running low on MP. First I make sure both HoTs are up and the tank is near topped off. Next I pop my card or Lumi Aether. Then use Collective Unconscious and let the HoTs heal while you get mana for 18s.

Well i was sort of thought that too, but i would rather dps in cleric stance and switch back to heal tank back and dps again, than just stand there and turn myself fully into "HoT".
I was thinking to use it when im totally out of mana, but i really really try to avoid those situations, because then either way it's near wipe anyway and a bubble of HoT spell won't help.
I was using it lately in a1 when the boss jump up and everyone gathers as far as possible where boss will deal less dmg, i make a bubble so that... people get 1-2 ticks of heal before they run away. pretty useless but i save mana for 1 helios. I also liked that in a1 the boss jumps are pretty much every 80-90seconds, so my collective unconscious is always up for it. Thats honestly the only place where i found some little use of it.
An ast in one of my alexander runs was using it in A1 when the oppressors hit the ground to keep people topped off. The skill feels like its designed for raidwide aoes like the primals big specials. Or if all else fails cordinate a bubble train in cities :3
I always use it when I'm healing A1 xD It helps regenerating the health lost without expending too much MP.
Seems pretty pointless, if you have a mana card on you, and LA on you, you'll have a ridiculous amount of regen coming in anyway. Not to mention I don't see how using a 1300mp spell for a weak HoT on one person is really all that great of an idea.
Most of the time in raids when you have to stack the damage that goes out is BIG (not normal Alexander), and then everyone has to spread and run back to the boss, making the channel useless past maybe two ticks. So basically you'd want an aspected helios before it, then a helios and the other healers aoe heal. It's basically a spell you rarely ever use with an 18 sec channel that will be lucky to see 5 seconds. At least Noct sec is usefull, with a pre-shield then CU popped, then a swiftcast helios or something.
I like to use it on a3 cuz your stacked alot in the fight. A2 is great if you stand near the melee/tank after helios. There are better ways of healing but making use of this ability is what im trying to do.
One thing I wish it did though was restore 10% MP similar to WHM's Assize and maybe bump the regen potency to 220-250 to make it equal to spamming Helios. Sounds OP at first but considering we can't do anything while performing the move, it seems like a far trade off to me.
The thing I like about Collective Unconscious in Diurnal Sect is that you can use it to "weave" in a HoT tick during a GCD cooldown. There are some uses in it such as recovery times in fights, but it requires coordination via positioning. Aside from that, fortunately we have a bit more control with Collective Unconscious unlike Asylum; however, we can't throw it down and make it act as a pseudo-regen on top of regen for more DPS opportunities.
