Reclaiming old FC

I did miss the general air of toxicity from the FFXIV community. The issue is the person removed EVERYONE, not some personal vendetta you people seem to be trying insinuate (I'm not even familiar with person it eventually fell to), and there have been instances in the past of gm intervention when something amiss happened such as FC leaders looting and running etc. I know it is beyond a long shot and honestly I didn't know where else to ask. So I tried Techinical in hopes of avoiding a troll fest in another forum. Instead I get this.

With players returning, it is at least worth a discussion of this definite eventuality. I'm sure a mod will move this to appropriate forum and I apoligize for not being sure where to put it. And while it is very likely you guys are correct, I would add that it is not necesary to be an ass and you should stay away from forums like these.

Nobody is being a troll or an ass. They're just stating the truth.
I know from experience that the GMs will do nothing to help. I ran my own FC and went inactive for a while, when I came back the leadership had swapped to someone else and everyone was removed. Upon contacting a GM to ask if there was anyway to reclaim it, they told me to talk to the current leader. This is to prevent a leader from going inactive, and having the FC come to a stand-still if the players within it are still active and wanting to play.

The best solution is to attempt to contact the player who has become the leader, but as you mentioned they're inactive this seems unlikely. Unfortunately in a situation like this you're more-or-less out of luck unless they happen to become active again.

For future reference, the best place to post a thread like this would be in either the Companies forum under 'Gameplay' or possibly General Discussion under 'Community'.

I was looking for an answer like that and thank you, although I maintain that the first two responses were the reason I stay away from forums in the first place. I did want hear from someone who had actually experienced this and tried. It's really a shame as I suspect it will most certainly up the same in my case (although gm support has never been constant in their standards, so i contacted them anyway). This doesn't erase the issue that there is a mansion fully decked out that no one can really use. I was planning on giving it to anyone on the server who could make good use of it before I transfered out (server is dead and I am sure some diehard would appreciate it). I understand gm transfership and it is a fantastic tool, but this has created a secondary problem.
