If you've beaten the Main Scenario, you should have the option to carry that over.

When you create a new character you have to start over from scratch which is fine, however for those who have completed the Main Scenario, there should be an 'option' when you create your character to have your character already completed these Main Scenario quests and it sets up your character just like it would be if you had.

It would give more incentive towards people making more characters (more money for SE with the full on subscription) if this was the case. It's namely a quality of life thing, however. I personally don't want to redo the story each time I create a character and feel this idea would do a lot of good for those who like multiple characters and just want to jump into the game unrestricted.

I prefer leveling via dungeons, leves, and FATEs then I do doing the same fetch quests over and over. Wasting time having to skip cutscenes walking from Point A to Point B. It's fun the first time, but gets dull afterwards.

Why RMT don't benefit from this

1. This is for those who have completed the story.
2. How would a RMT use this when you can only use one character at a time?
3. RMT bypass whatever these restrictions are as is.

Number 2 in particularly proves that there is no argument to be had that this helps RMT in anyway. If an account is banned on one char, it's banned on the entire account itself. RMTs never use multiple characters on one account. They get banned anyway.

You act like this even matters at all. It doesn't. The RMT would have to beat the Main Scenario to do this, I'm rather tired of hearing why certain things cannot be added to the game due to fear of RMT. Guess what? RMT is in the game, doing such and such in fear of RMT only hinders us as players.

And the point is that to not have to run through all the fetch quests over and over that I've already completed previously. It would make leveling other characters so much more enjoyable not having to deal with it every single time.

I mean, sure, but they vastly increased the XP for MSQ quests. You literally have to do nothing else and you can hit fifty in, like, a day or two, of just hitting escape during talk scenes. There's still a few quests that are boring/silly/stupid (yes, lets dance for everyone in this village, that is a good use of my time, Yda. Thank you), but they're worth doing because you'll level faster doing them than anything else you could do.

Edit: Though I wouldn't mind if all the MSQ locked stuff was unlocked on alts. Would make getting retainers on alts much faster/easier.

I can understand it for the sake of using the 3 new characters right off the bat (or as soon as you hit 30/50) to use the class, but I honestly can't understand why anyone would have more than 1 character, if you do that's fine and hope you enjoy. I just don't see it myself.

RMT ? beat MSQ with total of 6h (skip every CS and dialog from 2.0) and get character ban shortly after ? they might but that ll take them a while and not effective.

And no, I don't think it hinder anyone but you, who want to make 2nd character for w/e reason but don't want to re-do quest (even if quest is interesting, I bet this thread still pop up on the forum) and the ppl who want to rush to end game content.

Vs grinding fates? most definitely. I personally wish all the side quest would reset when you switched jobs. Would rather mindlessly grind fetch quests than fates.

I really doubt they would consider this kind of suggestion. Mainly because of how everything is unlocked on a quest-by-quest basis and that there may be complications with how the way the game is coded. Who knows? The game also already kinda lightly enforces the idea of doing everything on one character. It's a choice though. If you want everything on separate characters, you're free to do as you please. You'll just need to trudge through the MSQ again.
